Hi, my name is Jocelyn. 

My aim is to offer consistent quality childcare in a welcoming and happy home environment. I hold a Diploma of Children Services.  I have worked in childcare for most of my working life, starting as a governess on a cattle property after I left school. 

I am married to Kevin and we have 3 adult sons, 2 of our sons are married and we have 4 beautiful grandchildren (2 girls and 2 boys).  We have recently returned to the Atherton Tableland and our home in Kairi; after living in Mount Isa for the past 20 years.  

Mount Isa offers lots of opportunities. I worked as an Educator with Mount Isa Family Day Care for 10 years, when an opportunity came my way to become the Room Leader in the Baby Unit of “GoodStart” Mount Isa. This stated my 10year journey as a Director/Manager of two of Mount Isa’s busiest Childcare Centres.  In 2017 I retired from full-time work to renovate our Kairi home and to prepare to leave Mount Isa. I missed working with children and just prior to leaving Mount Isa I was a relief Assistant for C&K Kindergartens.

Since returning to Kairi in August 2019, I have found that I am not ready to retire.  I enjoy being busy and Family Day Care will keep me busy and allow me to once again work from home.

Providing quality childcare has always been my passion.  I believe that every child deserves the best every day.
