Who are Family Day Educators?

Family day Educators work with small groups of children (usually 4 under school age) between the ages of birth and 13 years of age, including your own. They plan for each day with the individual needs and preferences of the children in mind - creating experiences that help them to grow and learn through play in a secure, family-friendly home environment.

What qualities do I need?

Be energetic, reliable, and capable. Someone who is able to adapt to different people, cultures and lifestyles.The ability to communicate well with children and adults. Able to respond appropriately in an emergency. Use appropriate child behaviour management strategies. Good organisational skills and ability to plan and manage your time.

Do I need Qualification or experience?

• Senior First Aid , CPR, anaphylaxis & asthma certificate.
• Working with Children/Positive notice Suitability card (Blue Card).
• Minimum of a Certificate 3 in Children's Services or equivalent with an approved training organization.
